WHO WE ARE

Aiming to be a first-century church in the 21st Century.

Simply put, we are a church which strives to base itself on the Bible as completely as possible. Although we are a Presbyterian church, belonging to the PC USA denomination, the congregation decided a few years ago to return to the early roots of the Presbyterian church as found in Scripture and the Westminster Confession. Consequently, we place great emphasis on the clear teachings of Scripture along with corporate study of the Bible.

We are a small church with no full-time staff. Sermons are given by lay people from the congregation as well as retired pastors. Lay elders and a board provide leadership and oversight for the church.

We believe God has gifted all of His children, so we are eager for people in the congregation to use their talents and spiritual gifts to the benefit of all.

We share the building with two other congregations, a Pentecostal one and a Korean one. "How good and pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1)

WHAT TO EXPECT

Sunday Services: 9:30 AM

Services usually consist of:

  • Worship in song (blend of modern and traditional)
  • Open praise/thanksgiving
  • Open prayer requests followed by corporate prayer
  • Open announcements
  • Offering
  • Sermon

Communion is held once a month on the 1st Sunday of the month. Adult Sunday school follows services except on 3rd Sundays when we have brunch instead. Visitors are invited to join us for brunch without bringing anything.

As for what to wear, people in the congregation dress in a variety of ways. Most people are dressed casually, but you won't stand out if you wear a coat or dress. In warm weather, people still wear long pants most of the time.

The church's main entrance is in the rear, so park in back. As you enter the foyer, the sanctuary is to your right. Bible classes are held at the east end of the building, so go to your left for those.
